TED-Ed

Hello, everyone!

Don't worry, I'm not going to discuss Super Teacher Tools in this post. I'm going to discuss about a new learning tool, named TED-Ed. What is that? It is a website for you, educators and students, to discover animated lessons or create your own lessons!

How to create a lesson in TED-Ed? First thing first, you need to create an account on the website. Register yourself as an educator, not a student. If you have created your account, you will be directed to the homepage. There are four options in the minibar. Click "Create" and choose "A Lesson". To make your students interested in your lesson, you may insert a video as the introduction of your lesson. In TED-Ed, you simply need to paste the link of the video you wanted from Youtube or you can search a video related to your lesson using a keyword. After that, you will see the template of your lesson. There are:

  1. Lesson Title: It is your title of your lesson
  2. Let's Begin: It is the introduction of your lesson, so your students know what they are going to learn
  3. Think: It is like triggering questions for your students to understand the topic of your lesson
  4. Dig Deeper: It is your material to be taught in your lesson
  5. Discuss: It is a topic to discuss for your students to understand the material better or to search for further material for your students
  6. And Finally...: It is to review the material learnt in your lesson
