I have something different to share from my previous posts. Even though this post will not discuss about learning tools, it is still worth to read because the application I am going to discuss is as important as learning tools! The name is Mendeley Desktop. It is an application to help you make citation in your articles and journals. Isn't it hard to write your references one by one. Not to mention if you make a mistake in writing them. Mendeley Desktop will help you to settle down this matter.
How to use this application then? First thing first, you have to download the application. You can seach it on Google and download the application from its website. Don't worry, it's free! After that, install the application. If it is installed, you will be asked to sign in or register yourself first. You can choose your major also in the available options. The next step is to install Mendeley Desktop to your Microsoft Word. You can just click the option because it will directly pop-up after you sign in.
Then how to make our references using Mendeley? You need to upload your references in form of PDF files to Mendeley first. After that, open Microsoft Office Word and click Add Citation. Then click Open Mendeley. Find the document you want to cite and click Cite in the bar. You will see the name of the author and the year of publication of your reference. If you want to create the bibliography also, you can click Insert Bibliography in the Microsoft Office Word. You can adjust the style of your citation there.
Well, I think this application is very useful for us to keep our references or bibliography neat and correct. Don't forget to write your references using Mendeley Desktop, okay?
